What an M3U playlist contains
An M3U link points a compatible player to a channel list. Treat the link as a private account credential: anyone who obtains it may be able to use your access. Paste it only into the player you chose or an official activation flow. Do not submit it to public playlist testing sites.
What an EPG adds
The electronic program guide supplies schedule information such as a program name and airtime. Its coverage depends on the channels and the player. If a channel plays but its schedule is empty, refresh the EPG in the app and allow it to load. A missing guide entry does not always mean the channel is unavailable.
M3U versus Xtream Codes
Both formats can give a player access to a catalog, but their sign-in screens differ. An M3U setup typically asks for a URL. Xtream Codes usually asks for a server URL, username, and password. Use only the format and values sent for your account. If the app rejects one format, ask support before converting credentials through a third-party tool.
Keeping the guide current
Refresh the playlist and EPG periodically according to your app’s settings. If schedules show the wrong hour, check device time zone and clock settings. Some apps cache old guide data, so clearing only the guide cache may help without deleting the entire profile.
